i am frustrated beyond any belief. George who was supposed to have been off book weeks ago, still isn't. Lewis, who promised he would be harded on actors, is excited because George is up to page 16 in the play. There are 50 pages. George doesn't show up until page 13. The show opens in two days.

What does this mean? Does this mean that George gets fired and i just take over because i am extremely competent and didn't even receive any notes after dress rehearsal? No! Of course not! That is not how MET works. Lewis will completely ruin a show before he fires one of his precious actors.

Does this mean much for me? of course! tommorow i have to spend three (at minimum) hours in rehersal marking every line george gets wrong in his script. I must also watch his blocking and make sure that he knows what he is doing. Lewis says i have to be supportive of him and help him through, as George has been having a hard time with the rest of the cast. Lewis knows i can be nice.

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!!? THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE SUPPORTIVE!! WE OPEN IN TWO DAYS!!! HAS EVERYONE FORGOTTEN? APPARENTLY SO!!!!

I was going to tell Lewis that i had no intention of showing up and instructing George as that was not my job. But Megan is going to be at the rehearsal, and she's worked so hard and we've done so much good work together that i can't screw her over. And if George sucks, the rest of the cast sucks, and then we get bad reviews. and then the company's rep suffers. I am nice. i will go. i iwll help. i will get twenty-two different migraines and drink myself into a stupor after.

or i'll just go to bed. there are options here.
